Girl Scouts Love State Parks: Learning Leaves Hike & Leaf Print Craft

Join Lake Sylvia Recreation Area for Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend. This weekend is a national effort that encourages Girl Scouts all across the U.S. to get outdoors to make meaningful connections and memories at parks.

Here at Lake Sylvia, we are offering a variety of events such as our Learning Leaves Hike and Leaf Printing Craft. Join a park interpreter to trek on the old cabin trail to learn about the types of trees found at the park using their leaves to identify them. This hike is moderate and 1/2-mile in length. Make sure to bring water and wear good hiking shoes. Then, using the leaves you learned about create a leaf print collage to take home so that you can continue to identify trees.
