Looking to get outdoors and involved in your community? Join the Camp Ouachita Cleanup, a Keep Arkansas Beautiful Event, at Lake Sylvia Recreation Area. During this 3-hour clean up you'll learn the sites recreative legacy and importance while helping to beautify the area. Take a short tour of Camp Ouachita Historic Site, an old Girl Scout Camp to learn its history. After learning why this site's preservation is important, clean up the area. Using leaf blowers, loppers, and other yard working tools you will make an impact on this historic site. Make sure to bring water, work gloves, and wear good hiking shoes.
