Live Falconry Hunt

This program is presented as part of the 48th annual Eagles Et Cetera festival at DeGray Lake Resort State Park. Join master falconer Rusty Scarborough on a hunt with live hawks. Join a park interpreter and boat out to a nearby island to witness a trained hawk search for prey. Participants must be in good physical condition and capable of walking through brush and/or over uneven terrain. Please note that a successful hunt is possible, meaning prey is captured and consumed by the hawk. Participants are asked not to wear any clothing with fur or articles that could possibly resemble a small mammal. Space is limited – reservations can be made at the lodge front desk, (501) 865-5851, beginning Monday, January 18th. Please note that there are no restrooms available at the marina.
