Outdoor Recreation Skills Workshop: Kayaking 101 Old Town Lake

Ever you have wanted to try out kayaking but do not know where to start. Here is the perfect chance on the quiet bald cypress covered Old Town Lake. We will meet at the visitor center and then caravan in your own vehicle to Old Town Lake where a park interpreter will give an introduction of how get in and out, paddling, safety and everything you need to start exploring the Natural State kayaking. Then you can try out your new skills on a guided float with a park interpreter lasting about 1.5 hours. Registration is required by calling the park at (870) 572-2352. Watercraft, paddles, and lifejackets are all provided.
