Summer Star Party

Join Lake Sylvia Recreation Area staff and members of the Central Arkansas Astronomical Society for a summer Star Party! Watch a presentation on the nights sky presented by CAAS members. Then, explore the cosmos through the lens of special telescopes to view the Perseid meteor shower! The astronomical society's presentation begins at 7:30 p.m. at Camp Ouachita Historic Site in Ogden Hall. Viewing of the Perseid Meteor Shower will last from around 8:30 p.m. - midnight at the fishing pier on the left side of Lake Sylvia's Day Use Area.
