Catch the Murder and Mayhem Trolley Tour
If you like ghostly stories and haunted buildings, you’ll like the popular Murder and Mayhem Trolley Tour in Fort Smith.
Start the evening with Halloween treats, drinks and ghost stories. Then walk the haunted areas of the Fort Smith Museum of History, if you dare. Adding to the fun and creepiness is a tour narration by Judge and Mrs. Isaac Park, portrayed by Floyd and Sue Robison. Judge Parker metered out the law in this area when it was a jumping off place into Indian Territory for outlaws, bandits and renegades.
You’ll jump on the trolley as it winds its way through the Belle Grove Historic District and get the gruesome historic facts and eerie local legends. Real haunted houses are pointed out. You’ll hear some of the dark secrets of this historic town that include murder stories and a bloody love triangle.
Reservations are recommended to hear this colorful narrative of Fort Smith’s history. Tours take place on Oct. 18, 25, 26 and Halloween night. Two tours are offered each of those nights at 6 and 7:30. Tickets are $25 per person for those 21 and over. All proceeds benefit the Fort Smith Museum of History.
