Celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week at an Arkansas Welcome Center!

National Travel and Tourism Week kicks off May 3, 2021, with this year's theme as the "Power of Travel." The goal of the week is to spotlight the critical role travel plays in driving economic recovery efforts. Across the nation, the tourism and hospitality industries will unite around the week’s theme. Below is a list of events and giveaways happening at Arkansas Welcome Centers across The Natural State.

  • Travel Consultant, Michael Hilmes will perform a special concert of song by Arkansas artists on his keyboard periodically during the day on May 3, 4, 5 and 7.
  • Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area Interpreter, Chris Pistole will give a presentation on May 5.
  • Interpreter for the Bull Shoals State Park, Zach Fisher, will give a presentation on Arkansas mammals and birds on May 7.
