Once Upon a Cold December Night…

Celebrate the holidays with the Ozark Arts Council at its annual Christmas show, “Once Upon a Cold December Night,” at 7 p.m., Dec. 14 and 15 at the historic Lyric Theater in Harrison.

The OAC is putting on this musical revue to celebrate the end of another artful year. It’s a family-friendly showcase of local talent with a delightful mixture of classical Christmas songs and those with newer takes on the always-true themes of the holidays: giving, selflessness, and love. In keeping with the true meaning of Christmas, the OAC is joining with Children’s Charity Ministry this year to ensure that CCM will have plenty of materials available in the new year for its incredible work.

Providing basic necessities to children in need is just one of the many ways Children’s Charity Ministry reaches out to help the community. They also teach their many youth volunteers that they, too, are part of the community and responsible for taking care of it and making sure it is always a caring place to live. Thus, all proceeds from this show will go to benefit the Children’s Charity Ministry.

Admission to “Once Upon a Cold December Night” will be a donation of $5 or more, or of a non-perishable food item or bottled water. These foodstuffs will go into packing bag lunches (which consist of a meal, a snack, and juice or water) for children, and must therefore need no warming up and be non-perishable.
