Overnight Bicycle Ride
Strap on your bike helmet to enjoy a two-day ride on Saturday, Jan. 17, through Sunday, Jan. 18, from Greers Ferry to Mountain View. The Overnight Bicycle Ride is an annual event organized by the Arkansas Bicycle Club.

The group will leave the Narrows Recreation Area in Greers Ferry at about 9:30 a.m., stopping in Prim for lunch, and arriving in Mountain View around 4 p.m. It’s a scenic and hilly 40-mile ride on an open highway with slow traffic. In Mountain View, cyclists dine together and stay the night at a bed and breakfast inn. The next morning the group rides back to the Narrows with the same lunch stop.
The ride is free, but participants pay for their own food and lodging. A support vehicle assists the group, which usually consists of about 8 to 10 cyclists.
The ride has never had to be canceled for weather, but would be in the case of inclement conditions. For details on participating, contact James Britt at 501-912-1449 or by email at [email protected]. Visit the website www.arkansasbicycleclub.org for more information about this cycling group.
