I love exploring the rich legacy, history, art and culture of Arkansas' African American communities because it teaches me not just about the past, but the ways in which history is woven into the present and future of Arkansas. Whether learning about black-owned businesses on Little Rock’s historic Ninth Street, the brave students who fought for integrated schools in every corner of the state, or visiting the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame to see individuals who continue to excel in the arts, government, business, and education, Arkansas has an incredible history that is worth exploring, or as we say at Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, #blackhistoryisARhistory!
