Little Rock Outdoor Recreation

An initiative of the City of Little Rock's Parks & Recreation Department, Little Rock Outdoor Recreation programming encourages visitors and residents alike to discover the wealth of outdoor opportunities available in Little Rock. Programming is led by Mike Simmons, who has over 30 years of experience in the outdoor recreation field. Mike guides outdoor recreation experiences through some of Little Rock’s most beautiful city parks including the Arkansas River Trail, Allsopp Park, Boyle Park, Gillam Park, Kanis Park, River Mountain Park, and more. 
 
Cycling: Mike leads group road and mountain bike rides.  From one-on-one to large groups, he'l work with you to craft a truly memorable outdoor experience. Mike offers scheduled rides, and group rides are available upon request. Email Mike directly at msimmons@littlerock.gov.
 
Hiking: Mike offers casual, social hikes through some of the City’s most beautiful parks. Join a guided hike to explore a different park each month, March-June and September -December. 
Bring a water bottle, wear good hiking shoes and dress for the weather. Hikes are offered "rain or shine.”
