Cave City Watermelon Festival

Rooted in tradition and bursting with hometown pride, the Cave City Watermelon Festival has been a beloved celebration since 1980. What began as a one-day event—the Cave City Watermelon Parade, organized by the local Chamber of Commerce to promote our famously sweet watermelons, has blossomed into a three-day summer festival that brings thousands of visitors to the heart of Cave City, Arkansas.

New for 2026, the Cave City Area Chamber of Commerce is also launching The Sweetest Shuttle, a free hop-on, hop-off vintage trolley connecting festivalgoers with local businesses, attractions, restaurants, and watermelon stands throughout Cave City. We're also debuting our new Cave City Visitor Map to help visitors explore everything our community has to offer.

Three days packed full of fun and entertainment for the entire family! Nationally acclaimed musicians and regional favorites.

Weekend activities include:

  • Kid’s Fishing Derby
