What to know
Temple Beth El, constructed in 1915, was the second Temple erected by the Jewish community in Helena. The building was carefully maintained by an active congregation throughout its life, until being donated to the Delta Cultural Center in 2005, after being deconsecrated. The first phase of rehabilitation began in 2009 and was completed by 2011. In 2012, it re-opened as Beth El Heritage Hall. This large building is a wonderful place to tour and observe the superb craftsmanship put into the original construction and later restoration, including a stained glass dome. Beth El Heritage Hall is used for musical and education programs conducted by the Delta Cultural Center. In addition to the main auditorium with it's stage and seating, Beth El Heritage Hall contains meeting rooms and a caterer's kitchen.
