For more than 50 years, the Ozark Folk Center State Park has been dedicated to perpetuating the crafts, music, and lore of the Ozarks. A vital part of this mission is our Traditional Craft Apprenticeship Program, which has helped develop artisans in everything from blacksmithing to pottery. Join us at the annual Apprentice Show to celebrate the success of this year's artisans. Visit with our talented apprentices and hear about their journey. More than just a skill: Sponsored by the Committee of One Hundred for the Ozark Folk Center, this apprenticeship is unique. It's not just about technique—it's about the business of craft. Apprentices spend their summer immersed in learning business acumen, problem-solving, and building a professional body of work, all taught by Master Artisans right here at the park.
