Heritage Herb Garden Spring Extravaganza
Join us for two days of educational programming focused on herbs, soil health, and sustainable gardening practices at the Heritage Herb Garden Spring Extravaganza at the Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Each day begins with an 8:00 a.m. meet and greet, followed by speaker presentations from 9:00 a.m. to noon. An herbal lunch is offered at noon at the park’s Skillet Restaurant (not included in the registration fee). In the afternoon, one and two-hour hands-on workshops are offered by the morning’s speakers.
Presentation topics include growing turmeric in the Ozarks for health and wellness, composting and soil balance, soil testing, using dandelion and mullein to make salves and tinctures, diagnosing and treating fruit tree issues common to the Ozarks, biochar and regenerative agriculture, and selecting beneficial insects for natural pest control.
