"Oak-tober" Hike & Craft

Celebrate the month of "Oak-tober" by exploring the Arkansas Arboretum Trail. Discover the many kinds of oak trees found at Pinnacle Mountain State Park on this 1/2-mile loop trail. We will learn how to identify oak trees by their leaves and bark, then discover why tree leaves change color and fall during autumn. After the hike, make your mark by writing in oak gall ink to take home as a souvenir of what you have learned. Make sure to bring water and wear good hiking shoes.
