"The Big Five" Hike

Join a park interpreter for a big 5-mile hike on Mount Magazine State Park's trails. Hiking in some of the same steps of people dating as far back as the 1800s, participants will experience pure mountain air, breathtaking views and the spectacular nature that has drawn everyone from early settlers, farmers, entrepreneurs and countless tourists to Mount Magazine. This hike will start on the North Rim trailhead by the visitor center, continue on Mossback Ridge Trail, and conclude with the Greenfield Trail, then return to the visitor center. Seasonally appropriate attire, drinking water, sturdy hiking shoes, insect repellent, and sunscreen are all highly recommended for this moderately strenuous hike.
