What to know
This trail is for mountain bikes only and downhill only. This trail is a strong intermediate trail with incredible rock work. There are expert level jumps that can be ridden around. The park asks that the directional signs be followed. From the trailhead, go left for the downhill only line.
The trail goes down from the Mount Nebo Bench Trail on fast flowy singletrack bench cuts with big berms and armored wash crossings. Watch for the Chickalah Creek crossings, they make great rest/photo stops.
Also, the ride across the north side of the loop features beautiful views of the Arkansas River Valley. No matter what, your ride will finish with a climb, so be ready with water, snacks, and time.

Connected to the Chickalah trail are two other .5 mile technical trails. Jacoway Run is an alternative start point that ends intersecting about 1.8 miles into the Chickalah trail. Evan's Escape can be found about .4 miles into the Chickalah connector trail and provides an alternative finish point.
