The Arkansas Marathon Boston Marathon Qualifier returns Saturday, Oct. 10, with a scenic course that winds along the northern edge of the Ouachita National Forest. Runners can choose from a full marathon, half marathon, 10K or 5k. Booneville is known for unmatched hospitality with community aid stations every mile of the race, creating energetic race-day vibes and cheering participants all the way to the finish. Every finisher earns an impressive 6-inch, full-color custom medal designed by a local high school art student, making each year's medal a collectible work of art that celebrates both the accomplishment and the community behind the race.
The finish line sits right in the heart of October Daze, Booneville's annual fall festival. While runners are out on the course, family and friends can experience everything downtown has to offer. Shop local businesses, browse street vendors, enjoy live music, admire classic cars and join in the free family-friendly activities including a costume contest, kids bounce zone and cornhole tournament. After crossing the finish line, runners can celebrate with the festival just steps away.
