Stone Cottage
What to know
The 1940s Stone Cottage is walking distance to the Searcy County Library in Marshall, which is a great genealogy resource, a playground, a city park, the fabulous Buffalo River Historic Jail & Museum, the amazing Searcy County Veteran's Museum, and Marshall’s quaint town square. It's a 5-minute drive to the magnificent Kenda Drive-In movie theater, as well as a grocery store and restaurants. It's about a 25-minute drive to the Buffalo National River visitor center at Tyler Bend and the fun available at the Buffalo National River! Marshall is the Front Door to the Buffalo National River! Stone Cottage is also located about five minutes to the Searcy County Airport (4A5). Wild elk roam just outside the Marshall city limits! The Growl Lasso Motorcycle Route runs along US Highway 65 and the 1,000+ mile Arkansaw High Country Race course runs right past the cottage! It's an epic bikepacking route and event! Our dark night skies are also an attraction for night-sky photographers.
The remodeled Stone Cottage retains its original farmhouse sink, wood floors, interior doors, arched passageways, hand-textured walls, and divided-light windows. Guests are welcome to use the yard, picnic table, and sunlit clothesline. Kitchen has electric water kettle, toaster, refrigerator, oven, microwave, and cooking/eating utensils. Washer and dryer are onsite. Unscented laundry soap is available for guest use. We use non-toxic products for cleaning. We do not use “air fresheners”, fabric softeners, or dryer sheets.
