What to know

This U. S. Corps of Engineers facility is a Class A park on the Arkansas River with flush toilets, trailer dump station, trash dumpster, drinking water and boat ramp. Notrebes Bend Park is located on the left descending bank of the Arkansas River just downstream from Wilbur D. Mills Dam. The area is 35 miles south of DeWitt and accessible by taking U.S. Hwy 165 to Arkansas State Hwy. 44, then south 14 miles on Tichnor Blacktop from Tichnor, Arkansas. There are 30 campsites, all with water and 20/30/50 amp electricity. From March 1 through October 31 there is a fee for campsites and a day use fee for non-campers wishing to use the boat ramp. Fishing the tailwaters of the dam attracts anglers with an abundance of largemouth bass, crappie, bream and catfish. Boating, hunting, hiking and birding also are popular in the area.
