Formerly, the Downtown Playhouse, Marr Street Playhouse intends to honor its rich history by preserving its cores values of artistic excellence and deep connection with the audience. The Playhouse is a casual (coffee and dessert) live stage theatre located in Pocahontas. We are housed in the Imperial Movie theatre listed on the National Historic Register in downtown Pocahontas. Museum-quality artworks representing playbills of iconic Broadway shows are hand-painted on the interior wall of the auditorium creating a unique ambiance. Expect to see a diverse array of shows, including classics, contemporary works, and innovative original productions at the Marr Street Playhouse. We continue to be "The Coolest Casual Night in Town" while keeping to our mission of "Building Character One Note at a Time".
