2024 Solar Eclipse

We put the AR in solAR eclipse

On April 8, 2024, the Great North American Eclipse will make its mark in Arkansas! Nearly 2/3 of the state will be in total darkness for more than four minutes – longer than only two other eclipses in history.

Now is the time to decide where YOU want to experience this historic event. Maybe you’ll kayak or canoe on one of Arkansas’ stunning lakes. Or perhaps you’ll experience the eclipse at a secluded natural area. You could also attend one of the many festivals planned throughout The Natural State.

Half of Arkansas State Parks will be within the path of the eclipse, from Historic Washington and Crater of Diamonds in Southwest Arkansas to Mammoth Spring and Crowley’s Ridge in Northeast Arkansas.

The next two years will be an exciting time for Arkansas as we prepare to welcome guests from across the globe to experience the historic eclipse.

Because… “We put the AR in solAR eclipse!”
